Assistant Center Coordinator

Responsibilities:  Assists the Center Coordinator with staff supervision and center operations.  Minimum requirements include an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development/Education or related field, one year of experience teaching preschool-age children, and one year of supervisory experience.

Center Coordinator Responsibilities:  Supervise center-based education staff and oversee center operations.  Minimum requirements include an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development/Education or related field, one year of experience teaching preschool-age children, and one year of supervisory experience.

Health Specialist

Responsibilities:  We are seeking a highly-motivated health professional to coordinate and implement health services for preschool children.  Requirements include knowledge of health resources (i.e., screenings for dental, medical, vision and hearing), one year of experience working with 3-5 year old children, and RN or LPN valid licensure.

Media & Materials Specialist

Responsibilities:  include monitoring amd maintaining materials and equipment and assisting staff in the preparation, planning, implementation, and evaluation of new and/or adapted instructional materials for the Head Start classroom.  Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with 2-3 years of related experience, knowledge of adult education learning principles, understanding of audio visual equipment and basic computer skills.  Excellent organization skills and customer service skills are necessary.

Teachers

Responsibilities:   Plan and organize center-based classroom programs for children ages 3-5.  Minimum requirements include an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development/Education or a related field and one year of experience teaching preschool-age children.

Teacher Assistants

Responsibilities:   Responsible for assisting teachers with classroom preparation, classroom instruction, and maintaining educational records.  A high school diploma or GED is required.
