Volunteers play a special role at CDCFC and we are always looking people who are willing to lend their time, talent and resources to help us further our cause. Numerous opportunities are available for community members who want to “do their part to support Head Start,” including:

  • Classroom Support (including field trips and project preparation)
  • Childcare Provider for Meetings
  • Nutrition Assistant (assist with preparing and serving meals)
  • Instructors for Adult Classes
  • Planning Committee Members
  • Gardening with Children
  • Reading/Storytelling with Children
  • Foster Grandparent Mentoring and Emotional Support
  • Sharing Cultural Traditions or Experiences
  • Collecting Toys and Items for Children’s Play Area
  • Providing Creative/Artistic Experiences (music, dance, visual art, etc.)
  • Providing Maintenance/Upkeep of Classroom Materials (laundering/sewing doll clothes, fixing broken items)
  • Clerical Support (filing, data entry, answering phones, etc.)
  • Photography (for special events)
  • Assisting with Recruitment of Children and/or Distribution of Program Information
