Professional Development

Professional Development's mission is to provide support all staff, parents, Board, Policy Council and the community in the process of continuous lifelong learning.

A quarterly catalog of professional development opportunities designed to meet staff needs, as well as meet licensing and Head Start Performance Standards requirements, is developed by the staff in collaboration with the Professional Development Committee.  Membership of the Professional Development Committee is composed of representatives from each program area, as well as representatives of the Board and Policy Council.  Most professional development opportunities are held at the G. Tyree Learning Center.  Each CDCFC staff member is required to develop, with support from their supervisor, an Individual Professional Development Plan and to complete annually 15 hours of professional development.  These mandated hours can be completed by attending programs offered in-house or by attending approved external professional development opportunities.  A copy of the current catalog of offerings can be found on this website.

For additional information about Professional Development or the Media and Materials Center, please contact staff below.
