Health

The health services department of CDCFC ensures compliance with the overall health services as recommended by the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT). CDCFC employs Health Specialists to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive health services in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) and other federal, state, and local requirements. The Health Specialist also coordinates and monitors the completion of required screenings (e.g., medicals, dentals, vision, hearing, height & weight), referrals, and follow-ups with suspected or identified health concerns in partnership with community providers, such as:
